Also another thing I don’t get about straight edge is that what exactly about drugs is it that they hate so much. Is it just a health thing? Because if it is, why the self-righteousness? That’s like saying “I take vitamin supplements and run 15 kilometres every day I am god.”
Is it that they think it’s honourable to not alter their state of mind in any way, to preserve their “sobriety?” ‘Cause the same parts of the brain that are stimulated by cocaine are stimulated by love, does that mean they avoid love completely because they “don’t need no crutch?”
I’m not trying to put down anyone that is edge, it’s just confusing to me, in a philosophical way.
